...had died.
Trying to leave for work yesterday and I'm having trouble breaking 20 mph down the main road. The car even starts lurching forward and bucking. Not liking this, I pull into a Subway, park it, and call my dad to tell him what's going on. We decide it's a cold engine so I sit there for a few minutes to let it warm up.
Ten minutes later I put the car in reverse to try driving again, but the car decides it's going to roll into the woods in front of me instead. Thinking it's gravity I give it a little gas but it just stalls. Putting it in park and try to reverse again gets the same rolling forward result.
Dad ends up coming to rescue me and get me to work, and I have to leave the car behind (the owners were okay..the woman wasn't pleased but the man told her to clam up, what could I do). Turns out the transmission is far past gone, as my mother tried later to try limping it home, and it wouldn't cooperate with her either. We've spent so much on this car already in repairs we could have bought a new one a long time ago. So the time has come to turn her in and try to get a new one.
I'm sad, this car was ten years old and just barely made the 77k mark. It was a Hyundai Accent, it saw me through my college days and went to many cons with me. And it was the same color as Nisha's fur (well, her belly fur but still). I ha hoped to get a few thousand more miles out of it first.
I'm just glad this happened on a not-so busy road that I could easily get off of, and that there's wasn't any snow on the ground yet.

Ko-Fi!
https://ko-fi.com/nashida Check it out! I've added some real life goodies in there if you feel like supporting me with physical shiny things! Every little bit helps hubs and I put away for some much needed safety nets. We both work full time but we've had a couple car scares on top of a huge move two months ago so it's set us back quite a bit.
An Annoucement
On the 4th my amazing boyfriend and I took an amazing fireworks cruise up and down the Hudson River in NYC. We spent the night in each other's arms, surrounded by city lights and bursts of color.
It was there we reflected on our near four years together. The things we've gotten to do, places we've been. All our inside jokes.
It was there, under the fireworks, I plucked up my courage and asked him to marry me. Not only did he say yes, but he asked me in return (and of course I said yes)
We're super excited to make this next step in our lives. While we don't have any rings just yet (thus making this an "unofficial engagement ") we both kn
Gallery Clearout!
Hey guys, uploaded a few new pieces I've recently finished but with the new stuff comes a desire to clear out all the old stuff.
Since I'm such a packrat I'm moving most of my older works to Scraps and deleting the rest, so if there's anything you really want to save now is your chance, because once it's deleted it's gone for good as most of those files have long since been cleared from my drives.
Life Updates and Such!
Time to boot that nasty old journal off of this thing with something a bit more current, right?
Since it's been about 4 years since my last journal, I'll TL;DR my life in those past years.
SO:
-I moved out on my own back in 2014 and rent my own space basically by myself, and its grand
-I'm still working full time teaching preschool, but I'm finishing up some schooling to be certified as a lead teacher, which means more $$$
- I met a wonderful man in the fall of 2014, and we're still going strong
-I got Nisha made into a fursuit in the spring of 2013, she's been updated as of late but I wear her to cons, chairty events and public outings
